1. Holiday Rush (A Netflix Original 2019)

This epochal holiday family drama has a passable rating on IMDb. It is a Christmas romantic comedy of a widowed Hip-hop radio DJ who loses his job when the agency is bought over by a pop broadcast called Camcom.
DJ Rush and his four children would have to experience a whole new level of lifestyle and sudden change like never before. Stripping them of their affluent privileges, and forcing them to cut down on their extravagant lifestyle a few days into Christmas. It becomes unbearable when they have to move back into aunt jo’s house to cut down on expenses.
The events take a new twist when Rush together with his Producer Roxy buys an old studio, and begin to fall in love. When Rush’s kids find out, the reaction is not so nice. This movie is a sit tight romance comedy that deals with sudden change, Christmas, career management, and most importantly, family and unity.

2. Madea’s Christmas (2013)
Cast: Tyler Perry, Kathy Najimy, Chad Michael Murray, Anna Maria Horsford, Tika Sumpter, Eric Lively, Noah Urrea, and others.
This 2013 Christmas comedy is written, directed, produced, and starred by the iconic Tyler Perry himself. The plot is set in Atlanta, Georgia, and revolves around Madea who gets fired after getting a new job at a local store. Madea with no job whatsoever accompanies her niece Eileen to a small town called BuckTussel where she pays her estranged daughter, who also happens to be a teacher a surprise visit. We find out the reason why Lacey has been avoiding her mom, and the identity of her supposed worker, who is her white college boyfriend now turned husband. This movie shows the many facets of lies, judgments, love, family, and forgiveness.

The movie chronicles the changes in their lives, and remind us that friendship, love, and even old-time rivalries cannot be buried away with the facade of time. Even after 15 years apart, these feelings can still be reignited and rekindled.
