Priscilla Ojo Welcomes Baby Boy In Canada

Sunday, August 24th, brought good news that Priscilla Ojo (daughter of actress Iyabo Ojo) and her husband Juma Jux, the Tanzanian singer, have welcomed their first child in Canada. Interestingly, this news comes a few days after the beautiful gender reveal party for Baby Mkambala was held.

The announcement came first from the proud grandmother, Iyabo Ojo, as she posted a picture of the new mom and herself holding the new baby in the delivery room. She captioned the post:

“Say hello to the latest sexiest grandma in town, my grandson is the cutest.”

Priscilla Ojo Reveals Baby Boy’s Name and Photos

Priscilla followed up hours later with her own post. She went the celebrity-mom route and shared pictures of her baby boy without revealing his face to announce his arrival on her Instagram page.

One of the pictures was a black and white close-up with Baby Rakeem, dressed up in an animal-themed onesie with matching socks. As a bonus, we could see his cute little fingers. Another picture shows him all swaddled up and placed beside his mom in the delivery room.

The third is a photo of him tucked into a crib with two stuffed toys. Underneath these photos was the caption that revealed her baby boy’s name: “Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala.” A name that screams both royalty and Instagram bio material. And speaking of Instagram, the little man already has his own page (@rakeem_mk), and by the end of his first day on earth, he had pulled over 120,000 followers. Some of us have been struggling to hit 1,000 for years, but Prince Rakeem just breathed and boom, he’s a celebrity baby.

For months, fans had been whispering about whether Priscilla was expecting. People zoomed into photos, analyzed baggy outfits, and even tried to read meaning into her Snapchat captions. But Priscilla just let the speculations fly. She didn’t post anything about her pregnancy journey until she was far along. It wasn’t until a few days ago, at the gender reveal party, that we found out Baby Mkambala was a boy, and now, the prince has officially arrived.

According to a post from her on Snapchat, she and Juma had hoped the baby would wait to arrive on Juma’s birthday, August 25th, but babies don’t read calendars. Prince Rakeem made his entrance on his own terms and is already stealing the show.

Their family and friends are over the moon with excitement, and congratulatory messages are pouring in endlessly. Nollywood friends have been sending in their congratulations, while over in Tanzania, fans are already speculating whether we’ll get a new single dedicated to the little prince. If you know Juma, you know he loves turning life moments into music, so don’t be surprised if Baby Rakeem gets his own lullaby-turned-love song soon.
