Keke Palmer Files for a Restraining Order Against Baby Daddy, Darius Jackson
In the latest twist of the Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson saga, the former couple’s tumultuous relationship has taken a dark turn, with Palmer accusing Jackson of physical and emotional abuse. The actress recently obtained a restraining order against Jackson, shedding light on a troubled two-year relationship that started off seemingly sweet but turned into a nightmare for Palmer.
The Relationship Between Keke Palmer and Darius
Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson’s relationship began in 2021, after meeting casually at an after-party for the HBO series “Insecure.” Darius’ brother, Sarunas Jackson was a cast member on the show at the time.
The pair publicly announced their relationship in August 2021, with Jackson praising Palmer on her birthday in a now-deleted Instagram post. However, the couple’s journey was far from smooth, marked by on-again, off-again phases, as evidenced by the deletion of romantic Instagram posts about each other in 2022. Despite the ups and downs in December 2022, Palmer revealed she was pregnant in “Saturday Night Live,” intro.
Leodis Andrellton Jackson was born February 2023, as Keke shared joyous moments on social media. The couple seemed fine for a while as they even celebrated Jackson’s first Father’s Day together in June.
However, the relationship took a turn for the worse in July, when Jackson publicly criticized Palmer’s outfit choice at a concert. The controversy escalated as Palmer responded with merchandise poking fun at his tweet and her appearance in a Usher video.
At this point it seemed they had cut ties for good. Unfortunately, despite reports of a breakup, the couple appeared to reunite for Palmer’s birthday in August 2023, leaving fans uncertain about the status of their relationship.
Keke Palmer’s Abuse Allegations Against Darius
The most shocking revelation came with Palmer’s recent filing for a restraining order against Jackson. In court documents viewed by Insider, Palmer detailed instances of physical and emotional abuse throughout their relationship. She accused Jackson of “love bombing” her, creating an illusion of intense affection before becoming distant and cold over perceived insults.
Palmer alleged multiple instances of physical attacks, including an altercation on February 13, 2022, where Jackson allegedly choked and body-slammed her. The abuse, she claimed, continued the next morning, with Jackson grabbing her by the neck and body-slamming her on the stairs. Palmer also accused Jackson of destroying her property, such as a private journal she had kept since the age of 12, as a form of punishment.
The final straw for Keke appeared to be on November 5th when Darius allegedly trespassed into her home in search of his son. His unwelcome visit allegedly led to a verbal dispute between them before Darius attempted to wrestle Keke’s phone out of her hands as she sat on a couch.
The gravity of the situation prompted Palmer to seek a restraining order, temporarily granting her sole custody of their son, Leo. In her court filing, Palmer expressed fear for her and her son’s safety, describing Jackson as “unhinged, volatile, and dangerous.”
Both Palmer and Jackson have remained tight-lipped about the allegations, declining to comment when approached by NBC News.
Their families however have not shown the same reluctance to speak up as Keke’s mother came out on Social Media to bash Darius and his brother after Sarunas dropped a tweet implying that Keke was the abuser.
As of now, Keke has been granted the temporary restraining order against Darius Jackson and full custody of their son.
