Kanye West is an American singer and songwriter. He is also a producer and owner of G.O.O.D music label. He is an entrepreneur and a fashion designer who focuses on shoes and apparel. Kanye West has been named a billionaire by Forbes, he is said to have a net worth of $1.3billion. He has become the second Hip hop billionaire after Jay Z.
His ascension to billionaire status is most shocking because, in 2016, Kanye West was said to be in great debt. Around that time, he tweeted ” I write this to you, my brothers, while still in 53 million dollars in personal debt. Please pray we overcome. This is my true heart.”
In another instance, Kanye West was said to have begged Mark Zuckerberg to invest 1billion dollars on his creative ideas. The Facebook CEO did not take him up on his offer. Now here we are in the year 2020 and Kanye’s “ideas” seem to have been worth it after all.

West is one of the world’s best-selling music artists with over 140 million records sold worldwide. He has won a total of 21 Grammy Awards, making him one of the most awarded artists of all time. Among West’s other awards include the Chicago Chapter’s Recording Academy Honor, the Billboard Artist Achievement Award, a joint-record three Brit Awards for Best International Male Solo Artist, and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Three of his albums have been included and ranked on Rolling Stone’s 2012 update of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list, and he is the tied-holder for the most albums topping the annual Pazz & Jop critics poll with four. Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2005 and 2015.

Kanye West is not someone to put all his eggs in one basket. His mind is extremely creative and organized. According to Wikipedia, as a fashion designer, he has collaborated with Nike, Louis Vuitton, and A.P.C. on both clothing and footwear, and have most prominently resulted in the Yeezy collaboration with Adidas beginning in 2013. He is the founder and head of the creative content company DONDA.
Meanwhile, Kanye West is said to own acres of land in Wyoming and Chicago. He and his family currently live on their ranch near Cody, Wyoming where he has livestock worth $300,000. He intends to create a Yeezy empire, branching out into urban design, architecture, and hospitality.

Kanye West’s Private Life And Religion
Kanye West is married to television personality Kim Kardashian, they both have four children North West(six), Saint West(four), Chicago West(two), and Psalm West(eleven months). His wife Kim Kardashian was said to have retweeted Bloomberg’s account of her husband’s recent achievement over that of Forbes because the former had a higher figure. Kanye West was also said to have texted Forbes, “It’s not a billion, It’s $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.”
Kanye West’s assertion that he is Christian has been constant but his “faith” has been shaky at best. He went from saying that he prefers to follow a set of ideals than conform to the Christianity he grew up knowing to be a spiritual leader and holding “Sunday services” these services are exclusive and only celebrities and members of his family are allowed to attend. Although with Christian undertones, these services are said to be non-denominational.
According to Cosmopolitan, these were Kim’s exact words “This will be my first time ever going to Coachella, and I’m so excited to be a part of it for the first time,” she told Elle. “And [the church], it’s honestly more like a healing experience for my husband. It’s just music; there’s no sermon. It’s definitely something he believes in—Jesus—and there’s a Christian vibe. But there’s no preaching. It’s just a very spiritual Christian experience.”
Kanye West also described his album Jesus Is King which was released in October 2019 as “an expression of the gospel”.

Kanye West is a black man and a billionaire, who has become an inspiration to many Black people out there that when you’re focused and determined you can make good clean money. Kanye has always been a wild dreamer with a great drive. He once said these words on a show “When I ran for the presidency in 2024, we would have created so many jobs” the audience burst into peals of laughter but we all need to start thinking about it!
Honestly, this world needs more Black people like Kanye who are ready to go out there and show the Universe what we are made of. Congratulations Kanye! Congratulations Black brothers and sisters, a win for one is a win for all.
