Who Is Audrey Cyril?
A 25-year-old Christian social media influencer, Audrey Cyril, has faced heated discussion about her fiancée a day before the alleged wedding. Audrey Cyril is a bubbly girl, famous for her Sunday transition videos, with about 600,000 followers on TikTok; her posts are mostly gospel, dance, modelling, friendship with her best friend, Meemah, and daily lifestyle content.
In July, she announced her engagement to Mr Presh; the congratulations came fast, but so did the hate comments. People speculated the engagement happened around April, but she only announced it then. She began creating love and wedding preparation videos and many started calling her marriage and male-centred when she started the hashtag “YouaresingleandIamnot” and participated in the trend “25 with a ring and you?”
Audrey was criticised for being insensitive about the trend and how she condemned her fellow women but others attributed it to just being another trend a content creator participated in and she was just happy and excited about being engaged and the upcoming wedding. Audrey Cyril did not let the whole saga dampen her mood; she continued posting and her following gradually increased with the engagement her page was getting.
She started a series of sharing with her followers on everything she was doing in preparation for the wedding and stated she was going to announce something on September 20, 2026. While the internet patiently waited for the announcement on the 19 in the evening another TikToker Oma’s Diary, dropped some really hot tea using the trending audio “preparing for my Netflix documentary” Oma posted about a man she was dating. She said they broke up in January 2026 but he had recently got engaged on TikTok. These were important hints.
Immediately this was posted many flooded the comments mentioning celebrities that just got engaged and Audrey was mentioned numerous times when she dropped the hint that they had both used the same makeup artist. The post immediately went viral because if it was true then it meant Mr Presh had been cheating on Audrey while they were dating for 2 years before getting engaged.
That same night, on the alleged wedding day, more than 10 women came out with evidence of dating the same man during the same timeframe, all of them had something in common aside from dating the same man they all said he was very intentional about them and loved them and one lady claimed he almost married her but things fell through.
What Happens Next for Audrey Cyril and Mr Presh?
Will Audrey still marry him? That was one question everyone had. Oma’s diary also stated that at the time Audrey posted about the engagement she had reached out to her. She told her that her fiancé is a cheating man but Audrey said she would handle it with “emotional intelligence”.
When Oma saw that Audrey continued posting about the wedding, it probably made her and the other ladies bring the gist to social media. The question is, was spilling the tea the night of the alleged wedding day really the best thing to do? Oma stated that if Audrey was her sister she would not allow her to marry Mr Presh.
Social media being social media, everyone began dropping their 2 cents on the matter and what they thought Audrey should do concerning the situation. Audrey did not post throughout the 20th when everyone was waiting for what she was supposed to drop, even national TV stations like TVC connected on the “what’s up and about” segment of Wake Up Nigeria.
She has resumed her normal posting and brand engagement. Her page has grown with more than 100 thousand new followers with no clear statement on whether the wedding will continue, was canceled, or has already happened.
