Let’s be honest, most of us didn’t attend or follow JP2025 on social media for the vows. We came for Priscilla Ojo’s fashion, and sis did not disappoint. From Lagos to Tanzania, from lace to pearls, from modern dresses to regal Aso Oke, the only thing more consistent than her soft glam was our collective jaw on the floor.
If you missed it, let me tell you, Priscilla was working the wedding runway in every outfit. Let’s take a closer look at the stunning outfits Priscilla Ojo wore during her wedding extravaganza to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux. And of course, the fashion brains behind each slay. (Spoiler: You’re going to need a whole new wardrobe.)
13 African Wedding Outfit Ideas from Priscilla Ojo’s Big Day
1. The Nikkah Slay
This outfit was designed by Amy Aghomi. This dress matched her skin tone so much that she was glowing brighter than a full moon. The dress was a regal and modest jewel-toned outfit that made her look like royalty. The headwrap and the flowing cape with the intricate beadwork were everything that was needed to complete the look. This was a Nikkah slay, and we’re obsessed!
2. The Big Proposal Dress
Priscilla Ojo’s proposal dress was absolutely magical. The dress designed by “Lasosa by Pam Pam” was a stunning molten gold strapless gown with a corset bodice and thigh-high slit that screamed elegance. The dress hugged her curves in all the right places, and we are in awe of how gorgeous she looked.
3. The Five Pre-Wedding Shoot Looks
The first look designed by Amy Aghomi was a champagne gold aso-oke gown with beaded embroidery that seems to represent the colors on the African map, which makes sense because her husband is from Zimbabwe. The outfit was completed with matching gele and accessories that look like they cost a million bucks. This entire look is absolutely elegant, regal, and very representative of both cultures.
4. A Single Petal Dress
Switching to a modern second look by Lasosa by Pam Pam, Priscilla’s dress is a halter-neck ivory gown embroidered with brown petals. I can only imagine the hours of work that went into putting this dress together. The dress itself is the drama, as evidenced by the minimalist accessories.
5. A Modern Couple View
The third look? Lasosa by Pam Pam came through again with a soft and modern-looking dress. It looks like the theme of this shoot was a neutral, clean aesthetic inspiration. The color is perfect and complements her husband’s white outfit. This might be my favorite, simple yet sophisticated.
6. The Chill-Rodeo Outfit
The fourth outfit was a matching cowboy-themed look with her man by Korede James. The real showstopper for me was the white heeled cowboy boots. Who could have thought soft glam energy and the Wild West could go together? I think, only Priscilla Ojo can pull off this edgy, fierce yet feminine look.
7. The Award-Themed Design
Wrapping up the pre-wedding shoot is the gorgeous statement piece by House of Dova. This dress looks like something you should wear to the Met Gala. From the delicately sculpted silhouette to the unique design at the bust area, paired with sleek, long gloves, the overall vibe was old money at the Met Gala.
8. The Civil Wedding Look That Screamed “Wife, But Make It Haute” by Mubrik Luxury
Her civil wedding dress was simple and classy. It’s also unique, we see a lot of midi wedding dresses these days. The most fascinating part of the dress for me is the strategic placement of the beadwork and embroidery. She looks effortlessly beautiful.
9. Traditional Wedding in Lagos
The first traditional wedding attire for the JP2025 ceremony was a purple Aso-Oke gown by CouturebyTabik. This dress again is a unique design. The pink beadwork at different angles of the dress and the one-of-a-kind bottom that looks like a hot air balloon made out of flower petals are the highlights of this outfit.
Also, can we talk about her husband’s Agbada and the cap with the African map design on it? All I can say is “money at work.”
10. The Yoruba Traditional Inspo
For her second look at the Yoruba traditional wedding, the dress, designed by Emagine by Bukola, was a gorgeous mix of silver lace and velvet, which shimmered beautifully. The intricate details on the corseted bodice? How do designers come up with these ideas? Let’s not lie: she looked like she was about to marry an oba, not a music star.
11. The After-Party Mini Dress by Prudential Atelier
Priscilla Ojo’s after-party dress by Prudential Atelier looked like it had been plucked out of the future. Words aren’t enough to describe this masterpiece. Prudential Atelier really outdid itself. This is the type of dress that will give Iya Basira, the tailor, so many troubles to recreate.
12. The White Wedding Dress
This is the type of dress that leaves you speechless and makes you bawl your eyes out in admiration. It was a classic white gown designed by Veekee James with lace, sequins, and a flowing train that could rival the most iconic bridal looks, This dress was the grand finale of all her outfits. She looked ethereal, like an angel. Veekee James really took her fairy godmother role very seriously.
13. The Reception Gown That Said “Bride, But Make It Billboard-Ready”
Priscilla Ojo’s reception dress by House of Maveee was giving Las Vegas drama and disco! With its bold sequins and flirty ruffled hem, she looked like a goddess dipped in glitter with the shiny sequins and ruffled hem. This dress was the perfect ending to the dreamy white wedding dress.
