“Personally, I wanted to be a teacher. Yes, you heard it right. While my mates were aspiring to be doctors, models, and the like, I always wanted to be a teacher because my mum was and I looked up to her for everything.

Now I’m an Engineer. My life is a weird weird roller coaster of indecision😪😪”

“An Automotive Engineer ended up studying Computer Engineering because no university in Nigeria offered Automotive Engineering. I was confused. What do I do? I settled for computer science because I love computers. My Further Math teacher said I won’t become an engineer. He advised me to go for Computer Engineering, at least I’ll still be an engineer and can still work in the Automotive industry. That’s how I ended up with Computer Engineering. Now I don’t want to work as a Computer Engineer but as a Cloud Software and Security Engineer.”

“I wanted to be a pilot ☺️. I mean, being able to travel around the world seemed like a lot of fun. But as I grew older, reality dawned on me that in life you don’t always get what you want 😔😔. So in SS3, I decided I wanted to be a nurse but then again, life wanted something different for me. So the university I applied for changed my course to Crop Science 😩😩.

Though I pretend to be indifferent about the course, it still gets to me 😔😔. I am now a Uniben Agriculture student waiting for ASUU to call off the strike so I can continue my education. 😌😌😌”

“All my life, I’ve wanted to be different things! 😂 First, I wanted to be an Evangelist, but I was told that ‘Evangelist’ is not that kind of ‘profession’. 😂 Next, I wanted to study Aeronautical Engineering but after the Sosoliso plane crash of 2005, I was so frightened of airplanes, I changed my mind.

Then I moved from plans to study Architecture to Mechanical Engineering, to becoming a Footballer, until I finally settled for Medicine and Surgery.

In 2017 I graduated from the University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Anatomy! Lol😄 And today I am amongst many things, a musician, a graphic designer, and a Founder of an Institute for Christian Musicians.

New paths keep unfolding as the years go by, and I’m satisfied indeed.😊”
