Toxic traits is a term that infers, according to the dictionary, “causing unpleasant feelings; harmful or malicious”. Some might argue, “but it’s not hurting anybody.” Well, if it’s not hurting anybody, why do you think it’s the people around you that complain about it the most? It is, you’re just not seeing it, or don’t care, which in itself is a toxic trait of its own.

There you have it. I applaud the bravery to share such on the internet, it’s the first step to admitting that you have a problem. Toxic traits are bad habits that everyone has. Some, more than others. No one knows how it was formed or developed, whether due to bad experiences, trust issues, or even home upbringing, either way, it is a toxic trait that probably affects the people around you.
More often than not, we carry such traits to our work environment, friendships and even relationships, unable to form a real and genuine bond. Honestly, it is a trait that’s worth working on and changing. May we be brave and try to seek help or answers wherever needed.
