“The sacrifices. Especially as a woman. Everyone expects you to sacrifice your life for others. Am I, not a person? Don’t I deserve to be happy?”

Grace (F)

“I’m currently trying to juggle around 4 to 5 jobs because I decided to be an independent woman. No one told me it would be this tuff😭😭💔.

Not to mention responsibilities in other “non-work” organizations. Abi is it because I decided to be responsible? Because this adulting is honestly tuff. Be like I go soon find sugar daddy so I go dey shake yansh for yacht🥲”

“The concept of Love. Of all things to consider I know. Don’t judge.

When I was young, I could crush on anybody and fall in love quickly. All that mattered were things like having dimples and being funny and whatnot, yunno, superficial things. Now, we have to actually consider things that matter.”

Hilda (F)
Abuja

“I had a boyfriend who I loved so much that when he broke up with me, things changed, and I lost complete trust for him. I just want to do things and expect to leave one day.”

Rukky (F)

“The fact that I have to wake up everyday by 3 am, just to prepare for work 😩”

“Lol, even though it seems very basic, it is the responsibility and choices for me!

Omo, growing up there was never this kind of pressure. I was young and stupid so in a sense, I wasn’t expected to be in charge of my life.

Now that I’m an adult, I have the weight of choosing a career, planning my future, deciding on investments, where to settle down, and thinking about the next 5, 10, 20 years. All this alongside paying bills and trying to earn a living. I miss having an allowance and pocket money…”

Tea Lover (M)
